Analoges Filmmaterial wird durch Chemie zersetzt. Ohne den Einsatz einer Kamera und Licht entstehen bei diesem chemischen Prozess abstrakte Bilder, die die Fotografie als Medium infrage stellen und auflösen. Der experimentelle Vorgang, der mit dem Zufall des chemischen Zerfalls spielt, wurde über Jahre entwickelt. Mithilfe dieser Technik können dabei auch Orte abgebildet werden.
Without the use of a camera or light, abstract images emerge purely from chemical reactions—images that challenge and dissolve the very definition of photography as a medium. This experimental process, which embraces the unpredictability of chemical decay, has been developed over several years. Through this technique, it is also possible to represent places—though in a fragmented, transformed state.
